important things

I'm a little bit of a hippie, can find humor in just about anything, trying to be a vegetarian and say awesome way too much. I'm Mormon and out to prove that we really aren't as uncool and close minded as some people think we are. In my early years I moved around a lot, but now I've lived in Nashville long enough to call it home.

Spotify, I know my friends and what kind of music they listen to, so I know this is a damn lie. Unless they have some listening habits they want kept secret, I call secret advertising shenanigans.

Do y’all find songs that suddenly have relevance in your life and you just fall in love with it and listen to it over and over? This is one of those songs for me right now. I listened to it at least 10 times yesterday.

So there was this dude that I kinda liked and I thought maybe he kinda liked me. In trying to figure out what was going on, I came to the conclusion that I’d be fine with us just being friends, just making out once or twice or actually dating. We hung out earlier and I know now that it’s just friends. Honestly, thinking he might be into me was the biggest draw for me to be into him, so I’m not upset about this. It does still suck though. It’s fun having a crush and it’s nice to think someone likes you. I’m making it worse by listening to my sad, heartbreak song playlist on Spotify. It’s called The Drugs Don’t Work. Go listen to it and share my pain.

Jake Fogelnest: No, this was actually the 90's... including that fucking New Radicals song.

Okay, you want your 90’s nostalgia? Fine. Here’s 99 songs that we actually listened to in the 90’s. There’s a lot of cool stuff.

You’ll get your My Bloody Valentine, Bratmobile and Sonic Youth. You’ll also get The Toadies, Letters To Cleo and Prodigy’s “Smack My Bitch Up.”

99 songs. Some…

I would’ve switched out Time Bomb with Salvation but otherwise this list is my life in the 90’s.

Rancid’s And Out Come the Wolves is one of my favorite albums from the 90’s. I still listen to it at least once a year.

All you young’uns should go listen to this playlist. Right now. Go, I said now.
